Bams Chest

Theres some people who sit well for tattoos and then theres Bam.
Bam is a super human freak who takes every stroke of the needle like a pro. Hes a loyal friend and client of mine all the way from Perth.
Just this Thursday he landed in bat country. That morning we stenciled, outlined and grey shaded his entire chest.
The following day we did the colour.

Not once was there a twitch or groan from him. He just sat back and took the pain like it was kitten whiskers.

For two days of tattoo fun... thank you sir xx

Times like these chocolate is prescribed

I'm always looking at new art people are producing and it never ceases to amaze me how many talented tattooists there really are in the world.
but theres those days when you come across something so freaking amazing you at first feel so glad you've witnessed it then after a while you realize... oh wow... i just saw something so amazing its upsetting.

today was one of these days.

a customer came into the shop with two pieces done by arguably one of the best tattooists in Australia, sir Matt Cunnington. The elements, composition, colour and overall design was INSANE to say the very least. seeing this thing blew my mind instantly... but i wasn't aware of just how much until trying to draw later this arvo. these pair of tattoos effected me so much that everything i drew looked like shit. every painting I've completed or have been working on for the last 6 months looked inferior to any piece of artwork in the world.

its scary but at the same time... as one of my friends described it...it was 'humbling' to have layed eyes on these tattoos and be kind of brought back to earth by the beauty Matt had created for this woman.

so maybe to sign off tonight i should thank all those amazing artist out there for constantly ninja mind fucking us newbees... you'll always be the shit.
